The government have stated a commitment to providing 30 hours of free childcare for eligible children in nursery. This could mean that if parents meet certain eligibility criteria, their nursery aged child/children could attend nursery for up to 30 hours a week – 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.
Local authorities have been given the task of implementing these proposals and Redcar and Cleveland have come up with a 15+ model where parents can take their 15 hours, plus a number of other hours. To help them develop a suitable approach to this area, the Family Information Service are carrying out a survey to see the requirement parents have within this area.
If you are the parent of a nursery aged pupil, please follow this link and complete the survey.
