At the moment teachers are planning some exciting events which will take place in June.
The main event is a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday on the 10th of June. For this activity we are looking to hold a school wide picnic for pupils, parents and friends with a range of activities to celebrate this event. Our pupils have been carrying out work on this area and some of this work will be able to be seen on the day.
The second event is our careers week which will take place between the 27th of June and the 1st of July. This event, which builds on the successful careers week last year will allow our pupils to start thinking about their future, listening to a range of people from many different careers taking about their work. Last year we had Ali Browlee from BBC Tees, the editor of the Northern Echo and our local MP, as well as a number of parents come in to inspire and motivate our pupils to recognise the importance of preparing for their future. This year we have another collection of motivating visitors, with the possibility of an ex England Football Team Manager, coming in to talk to our pupils. If you could come in and support this event by talking about your work and the skills you need to succeed, please come in and speak to Miss Hill.
