At New Marske Primary, we take the health and safety of our pupils and staff very seriously, so we are following guidance from Public Health England on steps we should all be taking to minimise the risk of any infection, of any virus, spreading. In addition to this, we receive a daily update from the Department of Education about any implications regarding the virus.
There is currently no cause for concern at the school, but we will keep you informed about any developments and we will ensure that we are keeping the school as clean as practicably possible to prevent the spread of any virus.
Within school we have held a number of assemblies with pupils about how they can minimise any risk of a virus spreading by washing hands properly. There is an excellent clip on BBC website which shows this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51698180
We have also shown an excellent film, on Brainpop.com which explains in an age appropriate way about what a virus is and how infection can be minimised. https://www.brainpop.com/health/diseasesinjuriesandconditions/coronavirus/
We always encourage our pupils to ask any questions if they are concerned and hope that through the greater awareness our pupils have about the issue, they will be less worried about any future implications. Please click on the link below to see the PHE guidance on how to coronavirus.
